Mr. and Mrs. Vincent "Zippy" Duvall of Greensboro announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Cora Elizabeth Duvall to Jared Lewis Terry, son of Maj. Gen. and Mrs. James Terry of Fort Bliss, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. McWhorter of Greensboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill Duvall.

She is a 2001 graduate of Nathanael Greene Academy in Siloam. She graduated in 2005 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in political science. She received a master's degree at the University of Georgia in Athens in public administration in 2007 and is pursuing a doctorate in public administration at the University of Georgia.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Grogan of Gainesville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Terry.

He is a 2000 graduate of Leilehau High School in Wahiawa, Hawaii. He graduated in 2005 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance. He received a master's degree at Brenau University in Gainesville in business administration. He is employed as an accountant with McKibbon Hotel Group in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed May 23, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Greensboro.
