Tony Michael and Patricia Ann Dougherty of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Heather Ann Dougherty to Ronald Jacob Powell, son of Ronald Wayne and Renae Denise Powell of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of David and Barbara Dougherty of Gainesville and Stanley and Madeliene Rogers of Oakwood.

She is a 2007 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. She is pursing a degree in business management at Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville. She is employed as a customer service representative with Kohl’s in Gainesville. She is a volunteer at the Humane Society.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Grady and Helen Fowler of Gainesville and Leonard Powell of Baltimore, Md.

He is a 2006 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed by Etcon Staffing in Gainesville.
The couple plans to wed July 26, 2008, at a family member’s home in Gainesville.
