Donald and Brenda Dougherty of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Jennifer Paige Dougherty to Kyle Edward Schofield, son of Leslie and Elizabeth Schofield of Griffith, Ind.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Golia and Burline Woody and the late Tom and Evalou Dougherty.

She is a 1994 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 1999 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in social science. She is employed as a referral coordinator with Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at The Longstreet Clinic in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Joan Kime of Griffith, Ind., the late Donald Kime and the late Earl and Mary Schofield.

He is a 2002 graduate of Griffith High School in Griffith, Ind. He is employed as a marine carpenter with Harbor Marine and Associates in Flowery Branch.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 10, 2011, at Hideaway Bay Marina in Flowery Branch.
