Allen and Janice Cronan of Cumming announce the engagement of their daughter Jeannie Cronan to Kevin Williamson, son of Donnie and Mildred Williamson of Cumming.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Clydene Owens of Carrolton, the late Huie Keith and Vera Moore, and the late L.T. Cronan.

She is a 1996 graduate of Forsyth Central High School in Cumming. She graduated in 2004 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She is employed as a chemist with Environmental Protection Agency in Athens.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Linda Williamson of Gainesville, the late Rufus and Bertie Gravitt and the late Elkin Williamson.

He is a 1995 graduate of Forsyth Central High School in Cumming. He graduated in 2000 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in finance. He is employed as a clinical data coordinator with Merial Limited in Athens.

The couple plans to wed Aug. 2, 2008, at the Foundry Park Inn in Athens.
