Bill and Beth Compton of Flowery Branch announce the engagement of their daughter Erin Elizabeth Compton to Brandon William Crandall, son of J.D. and Jeanette Wheeler of Americus and William and Nancy Crandall of Weslaco, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William and Georgia Bagby of Flowery Branch, Suzanne Compton of Oakwood and Ira Compton of Oakhill, Fla.

She is a 2002 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. She graduated in 2008 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in early childhood and special education. She is employed as a teacher with Lyman Hall Elementary School in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late James and Catherine Crandall and the late James and Lydia McLermon.

He is a 2001 graduate of Sumter County Comprehensive High School in Americus. He graduated in 2005 from Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He is an alumnus of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.

The couple plans to wed June 2009.
