Melissa Combs of Lula and James Combs of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Kimberly Michelle Combs to Alexander Ross Burgess, son of Kevin and Debra Burgess of Hoschton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Homer and Geraldine Jarrard and Jim and Mazzie Combs of Gainesville

She is a 2006 graduate of Flowery Branch High School in Flowery Branch. She is employed with Marshalls in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Jack and Eva Mae Burgess of Gainesville, Sally Jo Boyd of Winder and the late Thomas Boyd.

He is a 2005 graduate of Flowery Branch High School in Flowery Branch. He graduated in 2009 from Lanier Technical College in Oakwood with an HVAC electrical degree. He is employed as a business service associate with the Gwinnett County Police Department in Gwinnett County.

The couple plan to wed May 22, 2010, at Calvary Baptist Church in Gainesville.
