Charles and Dendia Chastain of Talking Rock announce the engagement of their daughter Crystal Lynn Chastain to Michael Shane Dale, son of Catherine Moss of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ellis and Mae Owens of Ranger and Wade and Georgia Chastain of Talking Rock.

She is a 2000 graduate of Pickens High School in Jasper. She graduated in 2004 from Reinhardt College in Waleska with a bachelor's degree in biology. She received an associate's degree in nursing from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega in 2008. She is employed as a registered nurse with Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Lee and Mary Worley of Gainesville.

He is a 1994 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed as a deputy with the Hall County Sheriff's Office in Gainesville. He is a volunteer with the American Red Cross.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 13, 2008, in Flowery Branch.
