Mr. and Mrs. James Phillip Caudill of Snellville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Meredith Button Caudill to Mr. Barney Lamar "B.J." Williams Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Lamar Williams Sr. of Flowery Branch.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Pearl Button Reasor of Virginia Beach, Va., the late Mr. John Arthur Reasor and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dale Caudill.

She is a 1997 graduate of South Gwinnett High School in Snellville. She graduated in 2001 from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton with a bachelor's degree in psychology and criminology. She is employed as a residential sales and marketing representative with Jackson Electric Membership Corporation in Lawrenceville and is a licensed real estate agent.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Eugene Williams of Buford and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wilson Hood.

He is a 1997 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. He is employed as a firefighter with Hall County in Flowery Branch and is a third generation builder with Williams Building Co.

The couple plans to wed May 24, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Snellville.
