Jeffrey Rhea and Lindsey Cain

Michael and Martha Cain of Clermont-Ferrand, France, announce the engagement of their daughter Lindsey Michelle Cain to Jeffrey David Rhea, son of James and Phyllis Rhea of Rocky Mount, N. C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of R.S. and Barbara Townsend Meroney of Thibodaux, LA., and the late James W. and Elaine Cain.

She is a 2002 graduate of the American School in Japan in Tokyo. She graduated in 2006 from Clemson University in Clemson, S.C., with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She is attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C., pursuing a master's degree in women's studies. She is employed as a co-lead teacher with Ruby Reid Child Development Center in Wake Forest. She is a member of Christ Our Hope, Presbyterian Church in America, and is an active supporter of Campus Crusade for Christ.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Dorothy Williams of Rocky Mount, N.C., the late Philip Williams, and the late Earl and Evelyn Rhea.

He is a 2000 graduate of Southern Nash Senior High School in Bailey, N.C. He graduated in 2005 from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. with a bachelor's degree in bio chemistry and nutrition. He is employed as a sales associate with Lifeway Christian Bookstore and Best Buy in Cary, N.C.

The couple plans to wed July 26, 2008, at Magnolia Manor Plantation in Warrenton, N.C.
