John and Cecelia Buie of Bainbridge announce the engagement of their daughter Darbi Cecelia Buie to Brandon Keith Brock, son of Cindy Singleton Brock of Camilla and Keith and Janet Brock of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ruby Buie Hall of Bainbridge, the late Mack Buie, the late Don Hall, Dorris Uptain of Monticello, Fla., the late Fred Shofner and the late Roy Uptain.

She is a 1998 graduate of Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge. She graduated in 2006 from Ashworth College in Norcross with an associate degree in accounting. She is employed as a customer service representative with TitleMax in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of June Benefield of Camilla, Steve Singleton and Patsy Glover, both of Bainbridge and the late Edward Brock.

He is a 2004 graduate of Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge. He graduated in 2008 from Albany State University in Albany with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. He is pursuing a master's degree in school counselilng at Adams State College in Alamosa, Colo. He is employed as a special education teacher at Tadmore Elementary School in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 29, 2011, at the Bainbridge Little Theatre in Bainbridge.
