Denise and David Smith of Lavonia announce the engagement of their daughter Nicole Antoinette Brown to Bryan Curtis Walker, son of Donnie and Jean Walker of Cumming.

The bride-elect is the is the daughter of the late Christopher Brown. She is the granddaughter of Jimmy Brown of Belton, S.C., the late Netty Sue Brown, the late George and Antoinette Marie Miller, and A.C. and Bernice Smith of Thomaston.

She is a 2002 graduate of Franklin County High School in Carnesville. She graduated in 2007 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing. She is employed as a Life Care Consultant with Lanier Village Estates in Gainesville. She is a member of the United Way of Hall County.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Virginia Walker of Atlanta, the late B.C. Walker and the late Woodrow and Adeline Wilson.

He is a 2001 graduate of Forsyth Central High School in Cumming. He will graduate in May 2008 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance.

The couple plans to wed May 10, 2008, at Little L Farm in Commerce.
