Lamar and Ann Berry of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Beth Berry to Cory Ben Wellborn, son of Grayel and Cindy Wellborn of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Cleve Thomas of Gainesville, the late Lucille Thomas, John Berry of Dacula and the late Fannie Bell Long.

She is a 1998 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She is employed as a senior customer relations representative with First Franklin Financial in Cleveland.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Lorene Wellborn of Gainesville, the late Roy Wellborn and the late Edith and Emory Sims.

He is a 1998 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He attended Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn. He is employed as a graphics coordinator with Allstar Athletics in Dahlonega.

The couple plans to wed May 3, 2008, at New Bridge Baptist Church in Gainesville.
