Marie and Christopher Stoecker

Marie Desiree Arthur and Christopher Hans Stoecker were united in marriage at 6 p.m. July 2, 2011, in Dahlonega. The bride is the daughter of Ray Arthur of Jekyll Island and Tina M. Bryan, of Jekyll Island. The groom is the son of John and Jo Beth Stoecker of Sugar Hill.

The groom's uncle the Rev. Al Jordan performed the ceremony. Vocalist Caityln Weaver presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

The bride's friend Suzette Joy Martin of Buford was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister Kristin Arthur Lupien of LaGrange, and the groom's nieces Nichole, Brook and Chelsea Kock of Gainesville. The bride's friends Melanie and Harmony Goins of Gainesville, the groom's niece Gracie Law of Sugar Hill and the bride niece Cooper Ownbey of Savannah were the flower girls.

The groom's brother Ben Stoecker of Flowery Branch was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Byron Crawfood of Dawsonville, Michael Sui of Sugar Hill and Ricky Davis of Atlanta and the groom's nephew John William Stoecker of Flowery Branch. The groom's nephew Winston Law of LaGrange and the bride's nephew Bryce Bailey of Sugar Hill were the ring bearers.

The bride wore the groom's grandmother, the late Mary Beth Jordan's engagement ring.

A reception was held at the residence of Mary Barton in Dahlonega following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Samoset Resort in Rockland, Maine, the couple reside in Gainesville.
