Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Richard Alabiso of Flowery Branch announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Kimberly Louise Alabiso to Mr. Jonathan Robert Griggs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Russell Griggs of Valdosta.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Louise Ann Alabiso of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Mr. Louise Joseph Alabiso.

She is a 2004 graduate of Northview High School in Duluth. She graduated in 2008 from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro with a bachelor's degree in biology. She received a master's degree at Georgia State University in Atlanta in 2010. She is employed as a science teacher with Chrysalis Academy in Roswell.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Mary Griggs of Phoeniz, Ariz., the late Mr. Carl Robert Griggs and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lavern Tiner.

He is a 2004 graduate of Lowndes County High School in Valdosta. He graduated in 2007 from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro with a bachelor's degree in information systems. He is employed as an information technology specialist with AT&T in Alpharetta.

The couple plan to wed June 5, 2011, at Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Buford.
