Paul and Martha Yearwood Wilson celebrated their 50th anniversary on Dec. 23, 2008. Their children and grandchildren shared with them a week's vacation in Myrtle Beach. S.C., a surprise anniversary dinner and took them to a show at one of the theaters in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The couple were high school sweethearts in Atlanta. They were married and had a reception at the home of Martha's parents.

The couple have two children, Sandy Mimbs and son-in-law Eddie Mimbs of Flowery Branch and Philip Wilson and daughter-in-law Kimberly Wilson of Houston. The couple have four grandchildren, Kristina and Brittney Mimbs and Zach and Trevor Wilson.
