Jerry and Linda Sexton of Oakwood celebrated their 50th anniversary on Jan. 2, 2015. A reception held in their honor at Chestnut Mountain Church was given by Kenny and Gina Sexton, Tony and Janet Thompson, Heidi Sexton and Kristi Watkins. The couple have one son, Kenny Sexton, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
