Hoyt and Lucille Brookshire of Gainesville celebrated their 60th anniversary on June 4, 2009. A luncheon was held in their honor and attended by their family. The couple and their family attended church and placed flowers in the sanctuary in celebration of their anniversary.

The couple have four children and six grandchildren.
