When thinking of Brenau University, there’s one thing that comes to mind: A monstrous triumvirate of unstoppable mutant creatures battling mankind and one another while they obliterate a cityscape. No? Well buckle up, champ, because Hollywood is about to sear that image into your head with “Rampage,” which hits theaters in April. The movie was filmed in part on Brenau’s campus in Gainesville, and those local scenes play a major part in the film and appear in the trailer. Filming was going on in Gainesville in May and June. Brenau University spokesman David Morrison said it appears from the trailer that the scenes filmed in Gainesville appear in several early parts of the film.
