The annual 5K run to benefit Camp Hope starts at 8 a.m. Saturday morning, kicking off the fundraising season for the nonprofit summer camp.

All funds raised from the event will help needy or at-risk youth from the Hall County area attend Camp Hope, an annual summer camp sponsored by the Chattahoochee Baptist Association.

The race starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at West Hall High School. There is also a one-mile fun run. The cost to enter is $20 and includes a T-shirt and prizes. There will be awards for the overall male and female winner along with separate age group awards.

The Chattahoochee Baptist Association is a group of 67 churches that have linked together to help the church community.
