The components for next year's completed quilt treasures may be lurking at this year's expo. This is the place for quilters and quilt lovers to be this weekend. The show will take place at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth today, Friday and Saturday,
The Alliance for American Quilts will give attendees a rare pre-auction look at 117 "New from Old" contest quilts. The display gallery will let quilt enthusiasts take a peek at qualifying entries from this year's competition, "Seeking Color Harmony," and special invitational collections along with trunk shows and how-to demos all day long.
Professional quilters from across the U.S. and Canada will lead classes and workshops focused on everything from starting your first quilt to longarm quilting - the domain of serious quilters.
