As winter draws to a close and spring nears, many crafty, creative homeowners may seek to design a handmade wreath for the warmer season.

To assist them in that endeavor, a wreath-making workshop will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 14, at Lakewood Baptist Church, 2235 Thompson Bridge Road, in Gainesville.

Participants will learn how to make a burlap wreath through the hands-on activity. All materials will be provided.

The workshop will cost $45 per person. Space is very limited.

To register, email Brandee Thomas at or call 770-532-5111.

Proceeds will help provide a home for the homeless women and children. It also will be used as seed money for the future My Sisters Place Thrift Store.
