If you've ever watched an old black and white movie and wished that you could dress as glamorously today as they did then, now's your chance.

Saturday is the annual "Casablanca" fund raiser for the Hall-Dawson Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA.

"It's going to be a really fun night. It's the one night of the year that you can actually dress up in 1940s attire," said Connie Stephens, Hall-Dawson CASA director.

While emulating the style of movie stars like Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart isn't required, black tie dress is.

Attendees will have the chance to enjoy music from the big band era, which will be provided by an 18-piece jazz band.

In addition to "really good Italian food" there will also be a live and silent auction.

"We have a lot of really good items for the auctions. We have things like airline tickets for trips anywhere in the U.S., lots of different vacation packages and services," said Stephens.

"We also have a lot of great jewelry and paintings."

"It's a great time to do your Christmas shopping and your money goes to a great cause."

Stephens says they hope to raise $25,000 for the nonprofit to be used to help abused and neglected children.

Last year alone, the Hall-Dawson CASA served nearly 400 children, officials say. A few of the children that have been helped by CASA will be speaking briefly at the event, Stephens says.

Radio personality Moby from Moby in the Morning will also be CASA's special guest for the night.

Tickets for the gala, which is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Georgia Mountains Center in Gainesville, are still available.

"For $40 per person, the ticket includes dinner, entertainment and dancing if you want to dance," Stephens said.

"You can pay at the door on the day of the event - we're certainly not going to turn anyone away."
