Downtown streets around the square are closed as the annual Mule Camp Market fall festival fills the streets this weekend.
The market is organized by the Gainesville Jaycees and raises money for its Empty Stocking Fund, which provides Christmas gifts to kids in need. The three-day festival coincides with several other events, including a carnival on the far side of the midtown bridge off of Roosevelt Square.
The festival, dominated by the market, continues Friday, Oct. 11, through Sunday, Oct. 13.
