Sounds and tastes of the South Carolina coast will be the theme of The Guest House's 25th anniversary party and annual fundraiser this weekend.

Last year the event raised $10,000 for the nonprofit.

All the funds raised this year will go directly to the clients that the organization serves.

"The Guest House, it gives back to the community, we are helping individuals stay in the community as long as possible as well as providing excellent volunteer opportunities," said Rachel Spain, executive director of The Guest House.

The Guest House is a private, nonprofit adult center that began in 1985.

The organization provides elderly clients with activities and medical monitoring in a safe environment, while giving family members a break from their care giving duties.

The benefit will have an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet and music provided by the Airtight Band along with a silent auction.

"We're having fried shrimp, fried fish but there will be pork tenderloin and chicken tenders," Spain said. "The Airtight Band will play mostly covers and beach music."
