Due to inclement weather, the GHSA traditional wrestling state championships scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Gwinnett Arena have been postponed until Feb. 21-22, the association announced Wednesday. The GHSA noted the importance of allowing "time for these athletes to properly prepare for the most important tournament of the season," and said "the safety of students, athletes and their supporters" was also a major consideration in the decision. The Gwinnett Arena will not be available to host the event on the new dates due to previous commitments, forcing the GHSA to explore several options for alternate host sites.
