Riverside Military cross country takes third at Region 8-AA meet
Union County won both boys and girls race

The Riverside Military Academy cross country team qualified for the state championship meet with a third-place finish in the Region 8-AA meet it hosted Wednesday in Gainesville. Lexx Joya led the Eagles with a third place individual finish with a time of 18 minutes, 12 seconds, and his teammate Evan Soggs took ninth place overall (18:53). Union County earned both the boys and girls title for Region 8-AA. The Panthers girls took the first two overall spots with Julia Lindsey winning the race (22:04) and Emma Garrison second (22:05).
