One head coach will be “coming full circle” to return to Gainesville High this fall, while another is preparing to square off against his former team. The Red Elephants recently hired Shelly Garner to lead the girls soccer team, a program she helped create in 1994, while former Flowery Branch coach Shane Millwood will take over Gainesville's wrestling team. Garner will take over for longtime head coach Mark Wade, who recently left to coach the Lumpkin County boys soccer team.
