The best call of the day seemed to be to call off the game in the fourth quarter. With one lightning delay, a near-empty stadium, and No. 9 Georgia holding a big lead in Saturday’s season-opener, school and game officials ended the game with 9:54 left, leaving the Bulldogs with a 51-14 victory over out-manned Louisiana-Monroe.
