Pruitt takes spot held by Kirby Smart, who is now Georgia's head coach

Alabama has hired Jeremy Pruitt as defensive coordinator after he served in that role at Georgia and Florida State. Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban announced the hiring of Pruitt, a former Alabama assistant, on Friday. He was on Mark Richt’s staff at Georgia and fills the vacancy left when Kirby Smart took over the Bulldogs program.
