Georgia State Patrol released Friday the identity of the man killed in Tuesday’s wreck on Ga. 53/Winder Highway in Braselton.

Richard Wayne Serra, 69, of Braselton, was dead at the scene of the wreck on Winder Highway and JJ Lott Road.

Winder Highway was closed for about three hours Tuesday evening as authorities assessed the scene.

Cpl. Spencer Munger said Serra was driving a Honda Civic eastbound on Winder Highway when he “crossed the center line and struck a Honda Accord head-on.”

Tina Rachelle Moore, 54, of Flowery Branch, the driver of the Accord, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for injuries that were not life-threatening.
