Stakeholders examine artifacts from Healans Mill excavation

The remnants of a wooden door, its hinges missing and green paint faded and peeling, still bear the year of its origin across the front. “Built by J.A. Heard during 1899.” The door is one of several artifacts recently excavated and recovered from Healan’s Mill, originally known as Head’s Mill, on Whitehall Road in East Hall County.
