Snow flurries reported in area; no accumulation expected

Some light snow flurries have been reported in the area. The National Weather Service automated weather station at Gainesville's Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport reported light snow and a temperature of 35 degrees just before 6 p.m. Flurries also have been reported in the Cumming area. The NWS forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of light snow and sleet tonight before 10 p.m., though no accumulation is expected in the Gainesville area.
