If you are homeless, disabled or simply looking for a place to spend the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, two charitable Gainesville groups have you covered. Good News at Noon’s annual Thanksgiving dinner will begin between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and go until 2 p.m. on Thursday at its shelter at 979 Davis St. in Gainesville The organization served a traditional Thanksgiving meal to an estimated 1,000 individuals last year and believes it will see at least that number this year. “It’s a real big thing,” said Joel Kirkpatrick, a volunteer at Good News at Noon.
