Labor Department to co-sponsor career fair expo

A career fair will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. Sept. 16 in Cornelia. The Georgia Department of Labor, Georgia Mountains Regional Commission’s Workforce Development office, WCON radio and Main Street programs in Clarksville and Cornelia will co-sponsor the Main Street Career Expo at the Cornelia Community House, 601 Wyly St. The expo will feature employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. The employers will be hiring or discussing current and future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide education and other resources.
