HealthSmart Expo features free health screenings
Event set for Wednesday

Wednesday’s ninth annual HealthSmart Interactive Health & Wellness Expo will focus on the older population of Hall County. It will include free health screenings, seminars and free shuttle service to and from the expo.

The event is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Gainesville Civic Center.

The free health screenings will include blood pressure, body mass index calculation, venous reflux screening, cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose testing and more.

Physicians from The Longstreet Clinic will be on hand to review written screening reports and answer questions. There is no appointment necessary. Free McDonald’s salads will be given out to the first 100 people who complete health screenings.

Wellness seminars will be presented by personal trainers, local farmers and published authors.

The 7:30 a.m. breakfast, which features the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s Most Fit Company awards, is sold out.
