Hall schools could see $3.2 million bump in employee insurance, retirement

The Hall County school system could see increased employee health insurance and retirement costs of about $3.2 million in fiscal 2013-14, which begins July 1. That amount is based on “if we can keep ... employee numbers right where they are, which is what our goal is for this year,” Superintendent Will Schofield told the Hall County Board of Education on Monday night. “While we continue to hope that a rebound of some kind is around the corner and we keep hearing about that, we’re not seeing it in terms of our local tax digest,” Schofield said.
