Given its gang history, Lenox Park's identity uncertain following significant drug cartel bust

Almost $1 million worth of drugs was seized and 12 people indicted following a 10-month investigation into a group known informally as the “Lenox Park Cartel.” The investigation turned up 20 pounds of methamphetamine, a half pound of cocaine and 6 pounds of marijuana valued at $896,000, $22,400 and $12,000, respectively.
With Joe Amerling’s blinker flashing toward the black-and-gold Lenox Park sign at the subdivision entrance, any drug dealer knows that entrance is also the only way out. “They know all of our vehicles — SUV, all blacked out. The minute we roll in here, the phones start ringing if they’re working,” said Amerling, referring to drug dealers making warning calls to their associates.
