Gainesville students to compete in First Lego League contest

Many senior citizens are uncomfortable using a computer, but fifth-graders at Centennial Arts Academy want to help change that. The academy students identified the specific problem in the community and devised a solution as part of an education competition, said Havilyn Towns, one of the coaches for the school’s robotics team. “They came up with concerns about icons on computers and senior citizens knowing what the icons stand for and having confidence working their computers,” Towns said.
