A Gainesville man died Sunday night after driving off the road and flipping his car in Jackson County.
Daniel Chester Hall, 51, was trapped under the car when emergency personnel arrived, Jackson County EMS Director Steve Nichols said. He was extricated and pronounced “possibly deceased on the scene,” Nichols said.
He was transported to Northridge Medical Center in Commerce, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Hall was turning left on Ga. 53 North at Curk Roberts Road at about 6:44 p.m. when he wrecked, according to the patrol.
It wasn’t clear why his 1994 Mazda Miata left the roadway, traveled into a ditch, hit a concrete culvert and driveway and struck an embankment before overturning and coming to rest upside down, according to the patrol.
No one else was in the vehicle, according to state patrol.
