Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested a Gainesville man on two charges, including rape, in connection with an incident May 15 in the county.

Michael Wilmont, 35, was charged with rape and aggravated sexual battery, according to warrants. He was being held Monday afternoon without bond at the Hall County Jail.

The warrants say that Wilmont’s alleged actions against the victim were against her will and without her consent.
