Gainesville council approves spending, grant resolutions

Gainesville City Council approved resolutions both to spend some money and try to collect some, too, Tuesday night. In a short council meeting — about 11 minutes long — elected officials approved five Gainesville Public Utilities projects ranging from sewer improvements to pipe relocation for road construction. All told, the five projects would cost $3.1 million.
