A chance of thunderstorms today in Northeast Georgia may break this summer’s typical weather pattern. The National Weather Service predicts a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain, with higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. “We basically have an upper level trough of low pressure moving along the Ohio and Tennessee valleys,” said Dan Darbe, senior meteorologist at the NWS office in Peachtree City.
