FLOWERY BRANCH — Three people were rescued from Lake Lanier Monday afternoon after being ejected from their boat.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said there were only minor injuries. “They were just shaken up, cold and wet.”

Kimbrell said a passerby found them on an island in the middle of the lake shortly after 5 p.m.

They were taken ashore on a pontoon boat, Kimbrell said, so the fire department didn’t have to respond.

The accident was near Van Pugh Park, he said.
