Animal shelter works to raise funds, awareness

Wagging tails, barking, laughter and smiles were found on the Gainesville square Saturday as the Hall County Animal Shelter held the first Mutts On Main fundraising event. Contests, a pet fashion walk, vendors and discounted rabies shots and microchips were part of the event along with chances to meet some of the dogs up for adoption. “I think (the event) has met or exceeded expectations,” said Cindy Langman, program coordinator of the shelter.
