3 students suspected in Gainesville High graffiti incident
Vandalism appears to be a prank, superintendent says

Jose Madina, of Gainesville City Schools, cleans graffitti from the exterior of the school's gymnasium this morning. The school Resource Officer and Gainesville Police Department are working with school officials to identify the individuals responsible.
Gainesville school officials said Tuesday that three students are responsible for overnight vandalism at Gainesville High School. Gainesville City Schools Superintendent Merrianne Dyer said the graffiti appeared to be an end-of-the-school-year prank and is not gang-related. Cpl. Joe Britte with Gainesville Police Department said the incident seemed to be the result of class rivalry between the juniors and seniors.
