Two Cleveland men were arrested after they allegedly were caught burglarizing a Candler Road home Friday morning, Hall County Sheriff’s officials said.

Col. Jeff Strickland said at about 7:15 a.m. Friday, a person called 911 to report a suspicious truck backed up to his neighbor’s house. When a deputy arrived, two men ran from the home. One man was caught quickly by a deputy, Strickland said. Following an extensive search, deputies caught the second suspect on McEver Lake Road, he said.

The suspects were identified as James Paul Fred Porter and Matthew Ernest Wood, both 26. They were charged with burglary and remain in the Hall County jail.
