White Christmas echos in Dahlonega

Brandon Nonnemaker, Alex Davis, Morgan Copeland and Christian Mims portray the lead characted in the timeless classic “White Christmas.” Performance of the holiday musical will run from Dec. 5-21 at the Holly Theater in Dahlonega.
Based on the beloved, timeless film, the heartwarming musical adaptation of “White Christmas” will sing and dance its way across the Holly Theater stage in Dahlonega. Performances will be 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays from Dec. 5-7, 12-14 and 19-21. Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for students and children.

Local celebrities face off in dance contest to raise money for 3 charities

Some call it the “best fundraiser in town.” The fourth annual Dancing for a Cause will bring dinner, dancing and competition to the Chattahoochee Country Club on Aug. 26 as 10 local “celebrities” vie for the coveted Mirror Ball . The event, which begins with dinner at 7 p.m. and the show following at 8 p.m., is a fundraiser for three local charities: Gainesville-Hall County Alliance for Literacy, Center Point and Rape Response Inc.
