Jefferson High students to transform into sea creatures
The Little Mermaid to entertain young, old audience alike

Jefferson High School Theatre will transform its school stage into a deep-sea setting for the production of “The Little Mermaid.” Based on the popular Disney musical, 30 teenagers will entertain more than 1,600 students from pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade March 19 and 20. Public performances are at 7 p.m. March 20 and 21 at 575 Washington St., Jefferson.

Some call it the “best fundraiser in town.” The fourth annual Dancing for a Cause will bring dinner, dancing and competition to the Chattahoochee Country Club on Aug. 26 as 10 local “celebrities” vie for the coveted Mirror Ball . The event, which begins with dinner at 7 p.m. and the show following at 8 p.m., is a fundraiser for three local charities: Gainesville-Hall County Alliance for Literacy, Center Point and Rape Response Inc.
