A rite of passage for children is attending summer camp, but not all kids get to experience it. Challenged Child & Friends wants to change that.
The organization is accepting applications for its four sessions of Summer Sensations Program.
The one-week sessions starting June 22, July 6 and July 13, is for students with and without special needs. Students will take part in educational, therapeutic and fun activities at 2360 Murphy Blvd., Gainesville. Full and half day sessions are available.
“This is a great program that lets students continue to learn throughout the summer and enjoy fun activities, too,” Challenged Child & Friends principal Monique Jackson said.
Challenged Child & Friends offers a tailored and integrated experience where children with a variety of developmental delays and disabilities learn and grow in a full inclusion program with children who have typical development.
