Cherokee Bluff kept it close with Fannin County, but could not pull out the win, eventually falling 21-7 Friday night in Flowery Branch. Jayquan Smith scored on a 79-yard catch to open the third quarter and had a team-high 114 yards receiving.
Smith also had a team-high 76 yards on the ground for the Bears (1-5, 0-2 Region 7-3A).
On Friday, Cherokee Bluff visits Lumpkin County in Dahlonega.
